homemade 2.5hp long tail mud motor

Homemade mud/longtail motor. is a 2.66hp 4 stroke, 1/2 impact socket with a nut welded in it, welded to a 1/2 flex joint, with a cotter pin attached to 1/2 aluminum rod for driveshaft. some scrap metal i had in the shop, and an old 5 dollar prop I got at the marina..not really designed for mud persay.. but shallow water and weedy slop.. and weighs less then my battery for my trolling motor, runs longer, and cost me 1.03 to fill it

8' homemade layout boat with 2.5hp long tail

a quick/cheap layout I built for a buddys swamp.. with my 2.5hp long tail I built attached to it.. with the sloped back and no real transom.. the back end dropped bad under acceleration... but it was fun...
