Tying a Pheasant Tail Nymph
This is a really good pattern which exploits the great characteristics of pheasant tail fibers. Rooster tail feathers with nice long fibers (~2") extending off the stem will help when tying in the legs and body. This pattern is generally used to imitate mayfly nymphs which are an abundant food source for trout and other fish species throughout the year.
